We don't really recommend a particular e-reader. I personally have an IPad which I find to be very versatile. It allows me to read books on multiple platforms, search the web (to include accessing library databases), take notes either with the keyboard, or using an app that allows you to actually write as in a notebook, etc. I have seen students in the library using Kindles, mainly for leisure reading type materials. Basically, I think what's best depends on what the user plans on doing with the e-reader.
